How to Use MOSS Image
Make an MOSS Image image in the CheaperGen Studio — no code, no install, no OpenMOSS account. Pick a mode, write one clear prompt, set the size and press Generate. A test costs $0.039; developers can follow the API tutorial instead.

Step by step
How to use MOSS Image in 6 steps
- 1
Open MOSS Image in the Studio
Open the Studio (it opens with MOSS Image selected), or choose the Image tab and pick MOSS Image in the model menu. Sign in with Google or your email; you pay per generation from prepaid credits.
- 2
Choose what to make
- Text → Image — a prompt.
- 3
Write the prompt
One shot per prompt works best. Cover these, in plain sentences:
- Subject. The main subject and its key details: material, colour, expression, product features.
- Composition. Framing and angle: close-up, flat lay, three-quarter view, rule of thirds, negative space.
- Setting and light. Background, environment and lighting: studio softbox, golden hour, neon.
- Style. Photo, illustration, 3D render or painting — plus lens or medium details.
More structure and examples: the MOSS Image prompt guide.
- 4
Set the options
The settings sit under the prompt; rarely needed ones are behind ⋯. What each does — and to the price — is in the table below.
- 5
Generate
The exact price is shown before you run: press Generate (or ⌘/Ctrl + Enter). The amount is held from your balance and refunded in full if the generation fails.
- 6
Download and iterate
Results appear above the prompt; download them from there. Change one thing per try — the prompt, the composition or a setting — so you know what helped. Compare runs the same prompt on several models side by side, and Code shows the same request for the API.

| Setting | Choices | Default | What it does | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Aspect ratio | 1:1, 4:5, 5:4, 3:4, 4:3, 2:3, 3:2, 9:16, 16:9, 1:2, 2:1, 9:21, 21:9, 1:3, 3:1 | 1:1 | Output image shape. At 1K: 1:1 = 1024 × 1024, 4:5 = 912 × 1136, 5:4 = 1136 × 912, 3:4 = 880 × 1168, 4:3 = 1168 × 880, 2:3 = 832 × 1248, 3:2 = 1248 × 832, 9:16 = 768 × 1360, 16:9 = 1360 × 768, 1:2 = 720 × 1440, 2:1 = 1440 × 720, 9:21 = 656 × 1552, 21:9 = 1552 × 656, 1:3 = 576 × 1760, 3:1 = 1760 × 576. | Changes the price |
| Resolution | 1K, 1.5K, 2K | 1K | Output size, the same price at every aspect ratio: 1K = 1 MP (1024 × 1024), 1.5K ≈ 2.25 MP (1536 × 1536), 2K = 4 MP (2048 × 2048) at 1:1, with 1 MP = 1024² px. Other ratios keep the pixels: each side is the 1:1 side × √ratio, rounded down to a multiple of 16 (e.g. 2K 16:9 = 2720 × 1536). | $0.0384–$0.1534/image |
| Seed(⋯) | Free text | — | Use the same seed and settings to reproduce a result. Leave empty for random. | No effect on the price |

Worked example
A first prompt to try
Text → Image with the default settings. Paste it into the Studio and change one thing at a time.
“A wide view of a refrigerator beside a kitchen counter with a fruit bowl. A small sticky note on the refrigerator door is handwritten in Chinese: “记得买牛奶和鸡蛋!牛奶两盒,鸡蛋一打。””
Aspect ratio: 1:1 · Resolution: 1K

Common MOSS Image mistakes
Drafting at 2K
Every try at 2K costs 4.0× one at 1K. Settle the composition and motion at 1K, then render the keeper at the size you deliver.
Describing what you don't want
Prompts work better when they describe what should be on screen. "No blur" or "no extra fingers" can pull the result towards the very thing you name.
FAQ
How to use MOSS Image: questions
